During a recent business trip to western New Jersey, I sought a convenient place to stop for lunch prior to my long jaunt home. Frank's Pizza & More (240 Route 206, Flanders, 973-584-0379, www.frankspizzaofflanders.com) was a quick turn right off the highway, and perhaps the thickest pizza slices I've had. 49 years in business, too. That's awesome, longevity being an aspect I admire in the restaurant realm. And "awesome" are the pizza slices below, sausage on the left and chicken bacon ranch on the right ($3.75 for a specialty slice). I must be honest here. I should've taken one of these slices home. The photo above does not truly reveal how thick and filling each slice was, I forced myself to devour both, not a wise thing. But, they were that good.
Frank's Pizza & More has a nice but busy dining area in the front of the eatery, and a more elaborate, laid back dining room in the back of the establishment. The menu is a full one, and the taste and quality of the above slices encourages another long drive and return. Steve
