First a popular destination in Fair Lawn, now the same in Elmwood Park. I recall many times as a writer for Fair Lawn Patch driving by Tiramisu Italian Restaurant, mentally vowing to plan a possible business profile article, but never doing so. So, when an opportunity arrived for Lucille and I to attend an event at their new location (205 Market Street, Elmwood Park, New Jersey, 201-791-0025), I sought to revisit the past and finally try the cuisine. Located just a few minutes off of the Garden State Parkway and Route 46, Tiramisu has lovely dining room and equally lovely party room. We both began our feast with a nice lunch salad, oil and vinegar the dressing. Simple stuff, but good. For our entrees choices on the overcast day, I selected the chicken marsala with marsala wine mushroom sauce ($9.95), Lucille the vitello (veal) parmigiana with a side of pasta ($10.95). Both meals were affordable and satisfying, a good portion size for lunch. I was able to return to my writing desk minus a bloat feeling from overeating, my writing apparatus airborne instead of grounded.
A nice touch. Steve
